Merry Christmas & Happy New year from Red Oak Car Wash & Laundry🎄It’s been a long 11 months since our devastating fire. Thankfully no one was injured and we will be re-opening soon. The magic question. I’ve owned this heavy traffic laundromat with over 90 machines for over 21 years with vinyl tile. We could never keep it clean, no matter how hard we tried. We are remodeling now after a fire and stripped all the vinyl down to Concrete, not much adhesive left on the floor.

I see a lot of laundromats with polish concrete on this forum and they look great. I have been told from different resources that just putting a base over the concrete will not last more than four or five years because the Concrete cannot breathe .


We all also know that laundromats flood from time to time so this needs to be considered . I just got a second quote from a company that does the sealer and the flakes with the heavy duty slip resistant sealer. I believe the topcoat is called polyespartic and has a lifetime guarantee.

I see some beautiful Laundromat floors on this forum. Through experience can anyone give any input, I have been told on the second option even heavy duty detergent left on the floor will not eat through the sealer, just a little warm water and elbow grease will bring back the shine.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
