Salida Laundromat joined the Salida Chamber of Commerce and celebrated the occasion with a ribbon cutting at their location, 1410 E St. Whitneyand Mark McGovernare the proud new owners of the Salida Laundromat. Theytook over last year and have been working tirelessly to clean, update and make comfortable this vital asset and service to our community. Theypride themselves in the upkeep and the experience the customer has while coming in. Theyknow laundry is not always a fun thing to do but why not make it an environment that feels good to be in!?
Whitney and Mark know how important it is to the community to have this service and will continue to find creative ways to serve even more. Theyhave currently partnered with the First Presbyterian Church to provide free laundry to those that are in need ofhelp. They will be working with individuals 2 times a month to provide the opportunity to come in and clean your clothes at no cost to the individual. They recently replaced 1/2 the equipment with new better quality, larger, more efficient and quicker machines. For those in the community that don't need their service regularly, don't forget to come see them a few times a year to get those large comforters, sleeping bags or other bulky items washed and freshened up.
