In recent years, our beloved Upstate trails and parks have faced an onslaught of natural disasters, testing their resilience and beauty. The ongoing fire at Table Rock State Park is a painful reminder of just how fragile these treasured landscapes can be. As we await more news, our hearts are heavy thinking of the damage being done to the trails, wildlife, and cherished views so many of us have grown to love.

This heartbreaking event follows a series of devastating challenges. The scars left by Hurricane Helene are still fresh—erosion, fallen trees, and washed-out paths that took months to rebuild. Our parks have endured so much, yet the land has shown remarkable strength in its slow, steady recovery.

Today, we stand together once again, hopeful that this fire will soon be contained and that the park will have the opportunity to heal. Our gratitude goes out to the brave firefighters and first responders working tirelessly to protect this beautiful area.

We ask everyone to keep the staff, volunteers, and entire community surrounding Table Rock in their thoughts. As nature has shown us time and again, recovery is possible, but it takes time, care, and the support of everyone who cherishes these wild places.
