Window Cleaning PSA:
A sight we don’t like to see as window washers, a window that has a white residue all over it. What is it? Hard water deposits of calcium, lime or other minerals from the water at your home.
It’s an all too common reality that the water in Western Montana is hard and if it gets on your windows it can leave mineral deposits.
Over time if your windows are subjected to continuous spray from the garden hose or sprinkler without being removed properly before it drys, most are left with many layers of hard water build up.
With the help of hard water remover products, time and a little muscle these windows could come clean. However, disappointedly, in some cases because of the hard water build up or deposits left on the window they do not always come clean and become etched with a permanent mark.
We highly recommend that people avoid spraying their windows with the garden hose or sprinkler. Not only will your window washers appreciate it but the windows will last longer and stay cleaner.
