Wishing the best for Joy Reid....
They Canceled Reid Out, But You Canโt Cancel the Truth.
MSNBC made their decision. Whether you agree or disagree, thatโs not the point. The point is why? Why is it that when truth is spoken, when voices rise to challenge the status quo, the response isnโt to simply ignore it but itโs to silence it?
Thatโs exactly what Kendrick Lamar highlighted at the Super Bowl halftime show. When the truth makes people uncomfortable, they donโt just walk away from it, they try to erase it. But hereโs the thing: truth doesnโt die. Truth doesnโt disappear. The truth will always find a way to rise again.
Say what you want about Joy Ann Reid. Love her, hate her, thatโs not even the issue. The issue is that she stood in a space where truth is constantly under attack, and she did not waver. She spoke, she challenged, she held the line; because of that, some are celebrating her cancellation.
But let me remind you of something: when there is a calling and an anointing on your life, no network, no corporation, no organization and no system can destroy what God has ordained. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises up against you shall be condemned. (Isaiah 54:17)
Joy Reid is not finished. This isnโt the end of her voice, her influence, or her impact. She will bounce back, stronger and more powerful than ever. Because the truth, you can only try to suppress it for so long. Eventually, it always breaks through.
