TERMITES ARE SWARMING!
Do you know the difference between an ant swarmer and a subterranean termite swarmer?
Termites and ants swarm around the same time in the spring, usually anywhere between mid April through the end of May in Missouri.
Most people assume they are dealing with an ant issue when in reality, they're termites.
Knowing the difference can potentially save you thousands of dollars in damage.
Here are a few ways you can tell the difference between the two.
ANT SWARMER
Their bodies are segmented like an ant. They have two sets of wings, one set shorter than the other and they don't extend much farther than their abdomen.
SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE SWARMER
Their bodies are straight and narrow. They have two sets of wings both the same length that are twice as long as their body.
