Just a little food for the soul....
Long post but long overdue... In the midst of rebuilding, I’ve come across a few true gems—people and partners whose integrity deserves to be recognized and shared.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our management company, Mc Homes Realty, Inc., for quite literally helping pull us out of one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. When Hurricane Helene hit in 2024, everything changed overnight. We were left shaken, displaced, and trying to find our footing in what felt like complete chaos.
Our previous property manager had been wonderful, but like so many others, she too was impacted and displaced. We were left navigating uncertainty, asking ourselves... *what now? where do we even begin?*
Fast forward to today, and through the strength of a committed team, we are slowly, but surely, finding our way back.
Nestor
thank you for stepping up in a moment that demanded leadership. Even after stepping down as President, you rose again to project manage the rebuilding of ten first-floor units that had been completely devastated. Your presence mattered.
Linda
your steady support as an HOA member did not go unnoticed.
To our contractor and Hammer our electrician Bates Electric, Inc. (Roy Brice, Collin), and our Plumber—who we lost during this time... May his memory be honored with the respect he deserves.
Quintero from Fresco Painting & Pressure Washing LLC in a time when many were taking advantage, you showed fairness, patience, and humanity.
Arocho for Sub Zero Air Conditioning your professionalism was unmatched.
Rick Landry Flooring thank you for honoring both the vision and the budget.
Gulfside Windows & Doors despite challenges with sales, your team showed up strong.
Builders FirstSource for the exterior doors, and doors for the interior doors.
To Tomas the hardest working shower door man your work brought elegance back into the home.
And to The The Home Depot for always being constant and present when we needed things the most.
And to everyone else who showed up with honesty, skill, and heart—thank you.
There are many people right now in St. Pete Beach who are being taken advantage of during their most vulnerable moments. I know this because I lived it; my first project in Pass-a-Grille taught me that lesson the hard way.
So when you come across people of integrity. People who do right by you, you speak their names and companies. You honor them. You let them shine.
Because good work, honest work, deserves to be seen.
I once met a man who carried a quiet kind of wisdom. He sat comfortably at any table from the richest or the humblest and treated both the same. He used to say:
“Eso es así… calla boca.”
"This is how it’s done… do the work, stay humble, and let it speak for itself."
And that’s exactly what this is...
Goodnight guys don't forget to praise the people who helped you. Show kindness we need more of it in the world.
