This home dryer vent was cleaned about a year ago, but when the new homeowners called Dryer Vent Cleanout, we found heavy lint buildup on the roof vent cap and a flexible transition hose that was restricting airflow.

We replaced it with a smooth, crush-resistant transition hose to improve safety and airflow.

Their home passed inspection with flying colors… But when they ran the dryer for the first time, it wouldn’t dry a single load. What we found hiding in their vent could’ve easily started a fire. Even a clean inspection doesn’t mean a clean vent.

This Eagan, MN home had lint piling up behind the dryer, never a good sign. At first glance, it looks like just a mess, but the real problem was hidden: a cracked 90° elbow that was leaking lint straight into the house. We cleaned up the lint behind the dryer, replaced the broken elbow with a sealed connection, and cleaned the entire vent run from the dryer to the exterior hood. Outside, the vent hood was also suffocating in lint so we cleared that too. The results? Airflow jumped from 1,663 feet per minute to 2,062 ft./min. Safe, sealed, and secure. If you’ve never checked behind your dryer….it’s time.

This home in prior Lake had a dryer vent that ran under the front porch, exposed to Minnesota’s winter air. When hot, humid dryer exhaust meets freezing temperatures, it can cause big problems: ❄️Moisture and frost building up inside the vent. 🔥 Lint sticking and freezing in place. 🚫 Damper doors icing shut, blocking airflow. On top of that, we discovered screws inside the vent pipe that were catching lint and making the buildup even worse.
