In my profession as a cleaner, I have observed that consuming a multitude of crime podcasts has had an impact on my behavior, as I caught myself pulling back those blankets with extreme caution and a sense of apprehension.... 😬😬🤣🤣🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Her price was cheaper

I had a client a few years ago who interrupted service so they could renovate their home. They added on a couple hundred ft.² and renovated the master bath, redid the floors, all kinds of stuff it was beautiful!

My quote for biweekly went up $25 and they pushed back at the price. The client said “Youre killing me, thats alot!” I said well you’ve upgraded your master bath and changed the house all around and added an entire new room with cathedral ceilings, and lots and lots of furniture. Never mind the two 120 pound dogs- I thought 175 bucks was an awesome price.. but Ok. I really like this client so I said what if we do it instead of biweekly we do it monthly? She declined and hired somebody cheaper.

Fast-forward a year later, she reached out unhappy with her cleaner, and this is how the toilets looked and every single area that you would EXPECT to be cleaned Thoroughly was barely touched. The blinds had about an inch and a half of dust, none of the ceiling fans were touched in a year. I guess because they’re always running the clients didn’t notice- don’t get me started on how the stainless steel looked🥺

So I guess the point of the story is sure! You can hire somebody cheaper. But you get what you get. I bet if she had communicated with the cleaner maybe they expected too much in the short amount of time they hired this cleaner, communication goes a long way! If you’re hiring somebody to do a basic clean for the lowest price, there’s no way they can clean the entire home in three hours.

These are the type of cleaners that brag about cleaning three homes a day as a solo cleaner. There’s just no way, not 3br 2.5 bath 3000 sf HOMES. It really is in the details, and why I don’t have a basic price. You’re going to get a thorough clean every time I’m there- this is just unacceptable
