Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control, Inc.

Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control, Inc. Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control came about as a result of the demand for a “High Quality” local privately owned and operated Lawn, Shrub, and Pest Control company.

A company where “Personal Customer Service” is job # 1. We live it, we love it. Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control, Inc (formally Valentine’s Lawn & Shrub Care) was established in 2009 in Osceola County. The owner of Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control and our team have extensive experience with Central Florida Landscapes. Over 30 years of combined experience right here in Osceola County. Joseph A. Valentine is

the President and owner of Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control, Inc and was the previous owner of “Valentine’s Lawn & Shrub Care, Inc…Mr. Valentine has over 27 years of experience in Central Florida and holds the licenses required by the State of Florida to perform and train in the application methods of Lawn Care, Shrub Care, Interior Pest Control, and Termite Protection/Control. In 2004, Valentine’s Lawn and Shrub Care had over 1600 clients in Osceola County and, the decision was made to allow a large national company to acquire those customers with promise that those customers would receive the same personal service that they were accustomed to at Valentine’s. Unfortunately, the needs of these customers could not be met by this national company and many of these customers were left trying to find a company like Valentine’s to no avail. For that we apologize. After many endearing conversations with past customers of Valentine’s Lawn & Shrub Care, it wasn’t difficult to figure out; we had to open the doors once again so the people of Central Florida could choose a Lawn, Shrub, and Pest Control company that they knew would do what they said they would do. Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control is that company. We pride ourselves on communication, and personal service. Luv-A-Lawn and Pest Control currently services over 7000 families in Central Florida. We have 38 full time employees. Our intention is to grow this company by providing our customers the best possible service in the industry. We want our existing customers to be our #1 source of new business, and so far it’s working like a charm! Please check out our “Testimonials” page. Our “mission statement” is simple: “To provide the best services possible, and grow our company as a result of satisfied customers.”

We would love the opportunity to provide you with a cost free, no obligation estimate for our services, just click on the “Request an Estimate” and fill out the bid form.

This is Chamber Bitter — one of the most common and frustrating w**ds found in Florida lawns. 🌱

Often called the “little mimosa,” Chamber Bitter spreads quickly in warm, wet conditions and can take over thin or stressed turf before homeowners even notice it. This invasive w**d competes with your grass for nutrients, water, and sunlight, leaving your lawn looking patchy and unhealthy.

The good news? Dr. Jack’s can help prevent and treat Chamber Bitter with professional w**d control programs designed specifically for Florida lawns, helping keep your turf thick, healthy, and w**d-free year-round!

🌿 Creeping Beggarw**d

Creeping beggarw**d is a common broadleaf w**d found in Orlando and throughout Central Florida. It thrives in warm-season lawns and can quickly spread if left untreated.

👀 What does it look like?
It has small, oval-shaped leaflets (usually in groups of three) and produces sticky seed pods that cling to clothing, pets, and equipment—helping it spread easily.

⚠️ Why is it bad for your lawn?
Creeping beggarw**d competes with your grass for water and nutrients, crowding it out and creating thin, patchy areas. It grows aggressively and can be tough to control once established.

🌱 Early detection and proper lawn care are key to keeping your Orlando lawn healthy and w**d-free!

🚨 Orlando Termite Swarm Season Is Here

🌿 Why do termites swarm?
Termites swarm in the spring to reproduce and start new colonies. In Orlando’s warm, humid climate, this usually means there’s already a colony nearby.

⚠️ Why are they harmful?
Termites feed on wood and can silently damage your home’s structure—often before you even realize they’re there. What starts small can turn into costly repairs if left untreated.

👀 What to look for:

Flying termites or discarded wings
Mud tubes along walls or foundations
Soft or damaged wood

☎️ If you’re seeing signs of a swarm, give Luv-A-Lawn a call at 888-476-2035. It’s best to act quickly, early detection can save you thousands in damage!

Chinch bugs are small insects that commonly affect Florida lawns, especially St. Augustine grass. They damage grass by feeding on it and releasing a toxin that causes yellow or brown patches.

These pests usually appear in hot, sunny areas and can spread quickly, weakening your lawn and making it look drought-stressed. If you notice signs of chinch bugs, Luv-A-Lawn can help! 🌱
