💡 TIP TUESDAY: How long should you run your pool pump?

This is one of the most common questions we get — and the answer surprises a lot of people!

For most Florida pools, we recommend running your pump 8–10 hours per day in summer. The heat and sun speed up algae growth, so your water needs more filtration.

A properly running pump = better circulation = less algae = fewer chemicals needed. It all connects! 🔄

Great question! Here's the simple answer:

✅ Weekly service — ideal for pools used often, especially in Florida's heat. Keeps algae away and chemicals balanced.
✅ Monthly service — a bare minimum for pools that are rarely used.

In St. Augustine's humid climate, we always recommend at least weekly service during summer and fall. The heat and rain can turn a beautiful pool green FAST! 🌿😬
