Big cheers for Tilly! 👏
SacSewer recently surprised Tilly—a talented 5th grader from Oak Hill Elementary School - Otter Pups in the Center Joint Unified School District—in her classroom to celebrate her earning first place in our annual student art contest. 🏆🎨
Her artwork stood out among entries from students across the region for its imagination, artistic talent, and an important reminder for all of us: The choices we make today help shape the environment of tomorrow. 🌱
Surrounded by cheering classmates, proud parents, and teacher Mr. Patrick Muldoon, Tilly was recognized for her creative piece inspired by water, energy, environment, and agriculture—the same themes of SacSewer’s popular field trip destination, the Nicolaus Dairy, where our partners at Sacramento Splash hold Project AWE.
Collaborations like Project AWE help connect students to the important role environmental stewardship plays in protecting our communities and natural resources. This celebration was a reminder that the next generation is already thinking big about the future. To learn more about Project AWE, please visit: https://sacsplash.org/program/project-awe/
Congratulations to our talented young artist, and thank you to the teachers, families, and students who continue to inspire us through creativity and learning! 🌎
