Family, Loved ones, Friends, current and potential future Clients. We at California Pest Control are very onboard with safety and safe practices, with this current pandemic Covid-19 we are all currently experiencing. As of yesterday around 12pm(noon), with all the research I was able to do, our Government is still considering us an essential business. We are continuing to operate, all will do so until told otherwise, with the upmost safe practices. Few things I would like to share for education that portions of the public are un-aware of for our industry. We as professional exterminators are highly trained not only in pest control, but as well on sanitation, cultural controls for infestations, biological controls, the list goes on. Please remember as supplies get low before they are replenished, we do not want your stock to become infested, as well as our grocery supply stores, warehousing, medical facilities, etc. If you are a current customer or in need, we will happily inspect your food supply areas, of course our licensed professionals will wear all necessary Proper Protective Equipment, as well as current guidelines set forth by or government leaders. If you have any questions or concerns at anytime please feel free to contact us. We are praying and hoping for all those affected to stay safe and healthy.

Alt-Righty Then, ready for this one. We had a poor unfortunate customer who had Bed Bugs. They had another Pest Control Company Fumigate their unit back in the middle of 2017. Sadly, them as a professional just fumigated their structure, and by the level of activity in the home, any and all professionals should/would know that the likely hood of other areas, Cars, Work, etc where probably infected as well. They happened to get ahold of me in Janurary 2019, unfortunately they had complete activity in their unit again and we had to Fumigate it for them as well. Fortunately after years of experience once they got with us, we know the possibility of other areas infected, and after careful inspection of their vehicle, there where alot of Bugs there too. Our customer asked, "well, what do we do now"? Being in this industry as long as we have, we all know the difficulty it comes to passenger vehicles and most, if not all are not all chemical labels are not labeled to be treated. After considerable though, we came up with providing a Heat Treatment to kill all the Bed Bugs and their eggs. Talking with many other industry professionals, no one had experience doing this(least the ones I reached out to). Long story short there where some potential concerns, mainly damage to the vehicle or the interior. Good news, we killed all the Bed Bugs and Eggs, and did zero damage to vehicle including the interior. Our 3rd party K9 inspector came the very next day with his Bed Bug Dog and there where no alerts.

1 minute video for you all on a vacant unit treating for Bed Bugs with heat. We reach a temperature of 130° and hold it for 2 hours minimum. We started this at 9:20am, reached our goal at 11:30am, and this video was taken at 1:05pm. We still have 30-45 minutes we are going to hold the heat. Believe it or not, it is harder to get rid of Bed Bugs when the unit is vacant using Chemical or Heat verse occupied. Enjoy!!

Providing a wonderful client a heat treatment for Bed Bugs, took around 2 1/2 hour to get their place to 130° and now we hold it for 2 hours. Late last week we provided minor chemical treatment first, mainly focused in places where Bed Bugs may run to hide, also protect attached units from getting infected. We will also bring a 3rd party K9 inspection in on Wednesday to assure 100%, there is no Bugs!!

Ever wonder how Rats get into you attic, especially when your home is somewhat newer and in good shape? One big secret, if they are getting access to you roof, i.e. trees, buses, vines, patio covers etc, once they are on the roof they find coves like these. Pictures are from inside the attic, you can see the moisture membrane chewed and the dark rub marks from the entering and exiting multiple times, probably every night. This time unfortunately had an abundance of activity, droppings, urine, etc and we had to remove the insulation, disinfect, rodent proof, and re insulat the attic. You can see before and after rodent proofing, now, even if rats find a new way to the roof, they are not getting in. We are always happy to help anyone with any pest issue and always offer free evaluations, or just want to talk Pest Control, we love what we do!!
