Have you ever heard a Child Car Seat Scary Story?
If you’ve been haunted by the glimpse of your child’s car seat when you have braved the backseat looking for that missing shoe, paper you were supposed to sign, or that pacifier the baby likes best, you already know that car seats could appear in a scary story quite easily.
But parents sometimes think it’s just the crumb collection and sticky mystery goo on the surface that they need to worry about. Or the smell of some spill the kiddo never confessed happened. And that’s not the case. Sometimes, things defy the laws of physics and travel into the car seat shell. Other times, creepy crawlers and nighttime visiting critters have feasted or nested into your car seats when you weren’t suspecting.
Black widow spiders 🕷️
Spiders of the non-venomous sort
Their webbing end egg sacks 😱
Other bugs sometimes in numbers you wouldn’t believe 😳
Even mice 🐭
And sometimes, it’s the parts and screws to toys you didn’t realize came apart while they were holding them.
Sometimes, it’s medication you didn’t know they had access to. Or mold you didn’t know loves to live on car seats stored in places that don’t have ventilation or that stay damp and exposed to the elements.
These things are too scary to stay in the car seat, so book that clean because it is more than aesthetics, it’s safety too! 💖💖💖
Big shout out to all my fellow car seat cleaners for sharing their scary finds! 🤗
