DE Filter Clean 🧼
A little more complex than your cartridge filters, but main thing is to take the grids out, clean them off real good. Clean the manifold, base and flush the bottom of the filter out to make sure all the nasty DE powder gets cleaned out. Inspect grids and manifold for any tears or hairline cracks. Replace if any are found (if you don’t, DE powder will get shot back into the pool).
Some customers think that because you can backwash these filters, you don’t need filter cleans as part of regular maintenance…you do.
