Passion Fruit update: The one plant is putting out some flowers and fruit. The second plant is starting to flower, but no fruit yet. It's cold hearty cousin Maypop is rooting and will also be potted up.

Personal "Mini Love" watermelon on the vine. The watermelons have been thriving in this rainy weather. Let's see if I get them to harvest before the deer or bear decides to try their soccer moves on my fruit. Last time I grew melons they'd be a day or two away from being ready, and I'd find them across the street by the spring house. I decided to try growing on a trellis in hopes to foil any such plans.

I added the plants, barley, and aerator to support what I believe to be baby tree frogs as the tadpoles never seem to be much larger than pictured. The plants also protect them from the birds that frequent the spring house holding tank for a drink, and a snack. ❤️

It's blackberry season! Look for these beauties picked this evening and for sale at the farmstand tomorrow. There's a ton more on the bushes waiting to ripen. I sense blackberry jam and possibly some tarts in the near future.
