That’s a wrap for opening weekend! Although the weather was not great, we still got to see MANY of our awesome members. Yesterday, we served around 100 Root Beer floats 🙌🏼. Thank you to , our lifeguards, staff and board members for getting us ready this season!

When a student leaves one of our programs, they often go on to do amazing things. Meet Jake Clifford, one of our Youth Leadership Wake Forest graduates.

Jake is co-founder of Wake Aquatic Partners, a pool management and technology firm in the Raleigh area, a company. He's also a full-time college student at Virginia Tech.

The skills he learned during his year-long experience in Youth Leadership Wake Forest have been invaluable.

“The youth leadership program helped me develop presentation and public speaking skills [which are] a part of my daily life, whether it be in school or at work,” says Jake. “When meeting with clients, presenting to team members, or working on school presentations, I find myself in a better place [and more confident] compared to my peers.”

Congratulations, Jake, on your success. We are so very proud of you!
