🚨 No Dirt on Clean this week!
Between birthday parties, soccer games, and Dad life, I’m calling an audible. 😂⚽🎂
But maybe that’s okay, because today I wanted to share something a little more important. After all, it’s His day. 🙏
Sometimes we look at our lives, our mistakes, our past, our weaknesses, and convince ourselves that God couldn’t possibly use someone like us.
But have you read the Bible?
Noah got drunk.
Abraham thought he was too old.
Jacob deceived people.
Joseph was betrayed and abused.
Moses didn’t believe he could speak well enough.
Gideon was afraid.
Rahab was a pr******te.
Jeremiah thought he was too young.
David committed adultery and arranged a man’s death.
Elijah reached a point where he wanted to die.
Jonah ran from God.
Job lost nearly everything.
Peter denied Jesus three times.
The disciples ran when Jesus was arrested.
Martha was consumed with worry.
The Samaritan woman had a complicated past.
Paul persecuted Christians.
And Lazarus?
Lazarus was literally dead.
Yet God wasn’t finished with any of them.
God called them.
God restored them.
God worked through them.
We spend so much time thinking we need to get everything right before God can use us.
Maybe you’ve messed up.
Maybe you’re afraid.
Maybe you don’t feel qualified.
Maybe you’re carrying a past you’re not proud of.
Maybe life has knocked you down so many times that you’re wondering what you could possibly have left to offer.
Don’t confuse being imperfect with being unusable.
The Bible isn’t a collection of perfect people doing extraordinary things.
It’s a story filled with ordinary, broken, scared, stubborn, imperfect people being used by an extraordinary God.
So if you’re feeling defeated today, remember:
If God could use them, He can certainly use you and me.
Your worst chapter doesn’t have to be your final chapter.
Your weakness doesn’t disqualify you.
Your past doesn’t get the final word.
God does. 🙏❤️
Happy Sunday, friends.
The dirt can wait until next week. This felt a little more important. 🧹❤️
Love and God Bless all of you❤️
