Hi Mom,
So glad you’re home; I really missed you today.
Oh, and by the way, ya know that really expensive Persian rug that Dad bought you for Christmas? Well funny story…….
Don’t worry though, I called my pal Mike at Golden Gate Carpet and he’s on it.
He said you should just have a glass of wine and chill. Oh and while you’re at it can you make me some dinner.

When the time comes to go back to work how many employees will really be comfortable going into their place of business? We all have become pretty used to social distancing and not touching things, and now we are going to have to get back into the routine of being close to each other and sharing common areas. Needless to say; anxieties will be high.
Calming those apprehensions are what professional cleaning companies are here for. If you are a business owner or facilities manager, you should consider a complete cleaning of your facility before your employees return.
We can come in and not only clean the carpet, but we can do things like disinfect the restrooms, break rooms, tiled areas and elevators. Other important things to consider are desk chairs, the plastic carpet protectors, desktops, phones, and keyboards to name a few.
You can tell your employees of the work being done and assure them that they will be returning to a clean healthy environment. Easing the minds of employees can go a long way in improving productivity and just getting our lives somewhat back to normal.
Call today to schedule an appointment.

The last couple of days I have touched on how professional cleaners can help keep your home or office clean and disinfected, so now lets talk about simple things you can do yourself. Some of these things may be obvious to many, but maybe a few of these simple tips can help others ward off this virus.
We all know about washing our hands, but what about under your nails? Every sink should have a fingernail brush handy.
That brush can probably go in the dishwasher.
Washed you hands and nails frequently? What about your watch? If you have a cheap waterproof watch I like denture cleaner. It's simple, inexpensive, and works great. For nice watches call the good folks at ER Sawyer Jewelers.
While still in the bathroom don't forget your comb and brush. Use the comb to rake the hair out of the brush, then put them both in the dishwasher.
Use your towels only once. If its a sunny day you can hang them outside. UV kills pretty much everything.
Take you shoes off before you come in. Believe me, they're germ-ridden and disgusting.
Sneakers and most flip flops can go in the washing machine.
House clothes are a good idea. Take your other ones off when you get home and put them directly into a basket rather than on the carpet.
Your reusable grocery bags? My Veale Investment Properties bags do great in the washing machine.
Your belt and ties? Put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and mist nightly. Ties can also go to the dry cleaners.
Your wallet and credit card: Do the same.
I'm sure you all wipe down your desk, but how many have those keyboard shelf's that pull out. Most people pinch it with their thumb on top and their fingers on the bottom to pull it out. When they clean they only wipe the top though.
Don't forget your pencils, pens, and mouse pads. I like steam for these, but alcohol swabs work just as good.
If you run out of cleaners, a teaspoon of dishwasher or laundry soap in a spray bottle of water works well.
Never put dishwasher soap on natural stone counter tops or floors.
Be careful of take out containers. You never know who touched them.
These are just a few ideas that may help ward off illness. Please share some of your tips.

You just had your home or office thoroughly cleaned and somebody walks in coughing and sneezing. Now what? This is a question that has come up a lot for professional cleaners in the past days. The truth is, there is not a great answer but there are a few good ones.
Start with all the stuff you already know about washing your hands, covering your mouth, and taking your shoes off.
After cleaning, there are further steps we can take, it just depends on how far you want to go.
The cleaning industry has products available that are EPA registered to kill most viruses including the current Coronavirus. They are applied during the cleaning process, and there are a couple that I have used that will remain active for weeks and possibly months. They are safe for pets and humans and research shows they work pretty well.
There are machines that will fog a building and disinfect all of it's contents. A viable option if the building is empty. Another type of machine can be set on a timer to go off at night after employees leave and shut off before they return. They generate a gas that will sanitize most areas. There are also machines that generate radical ions that will kill most pathogens, molds and viruses. The beauty of these is they are safe to use in an occupied building.
There you go, we can't turn your home into an operating room, but we we can make it reasonably clean. Call me anytime if you need help.

How to keep your office safe?
Many businesses are shut down now and employees are working from home. If you are not in that category here are a couple of tips.
I would start in the most common areas, the break room and the restrooms. Most offices have a cleaning crew that comes in after hours. Some of these crews do a great job but many don't. How well do they clean (not just wipe down) bathroom stalls and fixtures? Remember that latch on the stall door gets touched before you wash your hands.
I have always been a fan of using steam over chemicals to clean. You can look up the statistics yourself, but not much can survive getting blasted with 300+ degree steam. It is fast, easy, and you don't have to touch harsh cleaners or disgusting rags, not to mention that you also don't have to go try and find cleaning products at the store. The steam machines can be small, light weight, and easy to use. Workers can take turns using them and it can be done multiple times a day.
Break room fixtures, desk chairs, pencils, pens, mouse pads or whatever; just blast them.
Quality commercial machines can be inexpensive starting at about $300 and go up from there depending on how big and powerful you need.
I have them in stock and can deliver them. If interested, give me a call.

We are getting a lot of calls the last few days about cleaning office carpet, rugs, chairs, partitions, etc. Yes, proper cleaning will help keep the germs out of your office, but our services are not a complete solution. We can clean your home or office, but once we leave there are other precautions that are up to you.
Over the course of the next few hours / days I will post information that addresses some of the common issues.

This nice weather makes it a good time to do some early spring cleaning.
