🔥 ONE PEARL ROLLED OUT… BUT THE MUSIC KEEPS ROLLING! 🔥

Unfortunately, one pearl fell out and rolled on down Hwy 12 and out of the OBX—but I’m keeping Droppin’ Pearls alive and looking for musicians ready to bring the energy! 🤘🎶

Looking for:
🎸 A lead player—lead guitar, fiddle, mandolin, or another instrument that brings something to the mix!
🥁 Percussion—cajon or a similar setup.
🎸 A bass player to hold down the groove.

We play a wide variety of music—from classic rock and ’90s rock/grunge to country, oldies, and originals. Good music, good energy, and a hell of a good time!

You must be reliable for gigs and available to practice on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Full-kit drummers are welcome to reach out, but you’ll need to provide the sound reinforcement for your kit—my PA can’t cover a full drum setup.

Spent the day bringing my deck and wooden outdoor furniture back to life. What started as “let’s clean a few things” quickly turned into me pressure washing everything that stood still long enough. 😂

The deck looks better, the furniture is looking fresh, and I’m pretty sure I removed 10 years of Outer Banks sand, salt, and weather in one afternoon! 🌊🪵💪

The new pressure washer and I are getting along great… although the neighbors might be wondering what else I’m planning to blast clean next. 🤣

Moral of the story: Never give a handyman a new toy unless you’re prepared for everything within 50 feet to get cleaned! 😂💦

Dare County has announced a phased reentry plan for southbound traffic on NC12 between the Basnight Bridge and Rodanthe: Wednesday at 7 a.m., southbound traffic will only be allowed for Priority 1, 2, and 3 individuals, as well as for Ocracoke residents. No visitor access on Wednesday.

Then on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 a.m., southbound traffic will be available to the general public, including visitors. At that point, all entry restrictions will be lifted. Details: https://bit.ly/4dZiHj1

Again, the area near the Pea Island Visitor Center will be a one-lane gravel road, with traffic control regulated by automated signals. Please drive slowly and with extreme caution through the area. There will be sand and water on the road, and our crews will be out in force making further repairs and re-establishing a protective dune line.

Thank you again for your continued patience as we work to recover from last week's powerful nor'easter.

N.C. Highway 12 will reopen to northbound traffic leaving Hatteras Island at 3 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 29). A temporary one-lane gravel roadway will initially carry traffic in one direction only.

Southbound traffic will not be permitted until further notice. When southbound access resumes, current State of Emergency restrictions will remain in place, meaning only Priority One and Priority Two individuals will be permitted to enter Hatteras Island. There is no timeline for when visitor access will be restored.

Heavy congestion is expected when the temporary roadway opens. Drivers should be patient, pay attention and use caution.

Emergency ferry service between Rodanthe and Stumpy Point will continue 24 hours a day until congestion subsides and officials determine the route is no longer needed.

Visitors with upcoming Hatteras Island reservations should not travel toward the island at this time. Contact your accommodations provider directly with questions about your reservation.
