When water damages hardwood floors, replacement isn't always the only answer. On a recent water loss, our team was able to save the original hardwood flooring by drying it in place.
Here’s how our specialized drying process works:
1. Precision Moisture Extraction: We place specialized drying mats directly on the affected flooring to slowly and evenly draw bound moisture out of the wood.
2. Targeted Containment: We seal off the affected area with plastic sheeting to isolate the environment and maximize efficiency.
3. Heat & Dehumidification: Using layflat tubing paired with commercial dehumidifiers, we pipe continuous hot, dry air straight into the contained space to accelerate evaporation without causing cupping or warping.
