Position: Chimney Sweep and Repair Technician - Rocky Mount, VA
Employee(s) can expect the following daily:
• Must meet at the office each scheduled day at 8a. Our office is in Rocky Mount, VA.
• Work in all weather conditions (heavy rain and ice are exceptions)
• This job is not 40hrs/wk-52wks/yr. We will have some downtime in the off-season. Some weeks will exceed 40hr and some weeks may not exceed 8hr. This means there may be plenty of opportunity for schedule flexibility with advance notice.
• We travel between multiple customer locations daily to complete work as scheduled.
• Lifting/Carrying tools, materials, and equipment up and down a ladder multiple times a day. Weights can/will exceed 50lbs most days.
• We are not set up to offer benefit packages at this time but can gladly share resource information if needed.
• Employees are entered into Federal and State payroll systems. You will receive weekly paychecks on Friday with a W-2 yearly.
• Employees are expected to keep the work vehicle and trailer clean and organized.
• Cannot be scared of heights as we work on 2-4 story houses regularly
• Individuals must be able to follow directions, ask questions and work productively on their own
• Use manners, avoid cursing, and always maintain professionalism in the face of our customer(s).
