Good day!
I have had several clients reach out in the past few weeks to learn more about what precautions Iโm taking at the office to protect against COVID-19. I am taking the leap that if they are asking there may be others that are interested in learning as well. Here goes...
I respect the concern and hesitation concerning the virus greatly. Your diligence about health and overall wellness is part of the reason I truly enjoy working with each and every one of you.
As for what my office is doing....
Due to the fact that this is a shared space, I arrive about 45 minutes earlier than usual on my days. I use a 10% bleach solution to wipe down the massage table and cradle. I spray and let the solution sit for about 20-30 minutes and then wipe down. During that time I use a hospital grade cleaner to wipe down all surfaces in the treatment room and the waiting area. This includes but isnโt limited to door k***s, bathroom keys, arms of chairs, light switches, thermostat and all surfaces clients or staff would come into contact with.
Upon the clientโs arrival, hand sanitizer is used for both of us. I take and record the temperature of every client. They are then required to fill out a COVID 19 questionnaire and we both sign and date it. Masks are worn by both client and myself for the entire session.
We also have an air purifier running in the office. Iโm happy to send you the make and model if youโd like to research it.
After each session the used linens are stored in a separate area from the treatment room and clean linens. At this point everything is wiped down just like I mentioned above. Any tools/instruments used during the session are cleaned with hospital grade disinfectants. Linens are laundered in hot water with bleach or colorsafe bleach and dried on high temperature.
I am booking my clients to allow for this extra time to clean and sanitize. It is so important to me that I maintain a safe atmosphere. I have clients challenged by immune system issues, cancer survivors, elderly clients, clients with infants, all different types of clients and their health and wellness means everything. You are all like extended family to me.
