Education + Standards + Safety in the Beauty Industry!!
Let’s talk about it.
As a licensed professional in this industry, I want to take a moment to educate…..
Cosmetology / Esthetics & Manicuring is not a hobby or side hustle. It REQUIRES formal education, state licensing, ongoing training and strict sanitation standards to protect the health and safety of all clients.
When services are performed outside of licensed and inspected environments, it not only puts clients at risk but it also undermines the integrity of an industry.
And that PI**ES ME OFF!!
I have invested tens of thousands of dollars, countless hours of education and continue to pay to maintain our businesses, follow state regulations, and provide a safe, professional experience.
So please understand me when I say doing hair, nails & esti services without a license and/or in an unregulated environment is not “hustling” … it’s ILLEGAL & UNSAFE!
These things aren’t optional - they exist to protect YOU as a client.
Nevertheless, I didn’t cut corners to build my career and clients deserve that same level of care.
This isn’t about gatekeeping - it’s about respect. Respect for the craft, the client, and the professionals who do things the right way.
I didn’t invest decades, certifications, and tens of thousands of dollars into my career to compete with shortcuts.
This industry is built on education, licensing, and professionalism - not kitchen chairs and unregulated setups because someone thinks it’s cute to start a “side business” at home.
