The Apache Wasp otherwise known as the “Texas Paper Wasp”

A deep fear of many Texans and one of the most misunderstood organisms that we see. While nonaggressive by nature, their sting can be quite unpleasant. Here’s the deal, if you don’t bother it, it will not bother you.

What you see here is a cold front rolling through so the wasp is essentially sheltering in place on a pole trying not to get blown away with the heavy wind and the rapidly declining temperature. When a major decrease in temperature occurs, you can commonly find these guys grouping up and bunkering down in place. When this happens, their only thought is survival, not protection.

Wasps are everywhere right now! Did you know that wasps can form a nest within the matter of a couple days? They don’t take the holidays off either..but neither do I! This was an emergency removal for a customer with an allergy to wasps. Just a little spray to disarm them, then a hockey stick backhand finish, and he scores!!!

And this is a big problem with listening to the news. You put the fear of god into people over something that doesn’t harm humans at all. This type of spider is an orb weaver. And a pretty looking one at that! Not venomous toward humans at all yet because it’s a species that’s new, and the fact that half of America is arachnophobic, this false news story is going to garner a ton of attention to help some other media or political agenda later. Stop reporting news to gain eyes. Report the news to inform and serve the community! I really hope folks do their homework before reacting to this.

First came the spotted lanternflies, then the cicadas, and now, the spiders. The Northeast U.S. is bracing for an invasion of giant venomous spiders with massively long legs that can parachute through the air and, according to experts, “seem to be OK with living in a city.”

Hey guys, please be on the lookout for these guys over the next few weeks, as I’ve had close to 30 calls about them over the last 5 days. New build or existing build, they don’t know the difference between the two!

Termites in Texas typically have a major swarm season which is typically March through May. It will typically happen when you have 80 degree temperature and sunlight following higher volumes of rain. While they can swarm in September or October as well, this is the really big time of the year for them.

If you wait until they are nested to take care of them, that is a very expensive bill. I just want folks to be understanding as to what is actually going on.

I had a customer give me permission to use these pictures and video to show, but will not disclose actual location or the person to protect his or her privacy.

Let me know if you want me to set up a termite inspection for you! I would have my termite specialist guys come do it so that you will be in the best hands!

Waldron is an amazing dog. Unfortunately, due to the owners travel situation, he needs a new forever home. He’s never met a stranger, never growls, quiet, and he just wants to be loved all the time! Please let me know if you can take him. He needs a great home and deserves the best man friends to be roommates to live with.
