The car didn't really need a wash but I've been looking forward to rinsing off the salt dust all week. My personal car is coated with my top ceramic coating offering: two coats of GYEON quartz MOHS topped with two coats of Can Coat. Can Coats amazing shine and ridiculously good hydrophobic properties are an excellent upgrade to the long lasting, very hard and chemically resistant protection offered by MOHS. Properly maintained, I expect this combination to last at least two years before I need to even consider a fresh application.

Unfortunately its dark all the time now so no outdoor glamor shots for this G8. Rest assured, GYEON quartz is going to look fantastic while protecting the exterior of this modern muscle car.
Corrections, coatings, and some interior work can still be done in the winter. Its never too late to perfect and protect your cars finish.

Gave the rolling mirror treatment to another black beauty. This 1LE got 2 coats of GYEON quartz over a painstakingly perfected finish. With proper care, this beast should enjoy excellent beading, self cleaning and gloss for at least two years!

I've wanted to do a post about the whole process of an exterior detail for a while. Part 1 here is a brief rundown of the pre-inspection decontamination process. The prep is important, especially on a dark colored car like this jet black BMW 328i.
In the next installment, the main event, I'm going to explain the process of polishing the paint so keep an eye out for that!
