Thank you Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce for a terrific membership meeting and luncheon today. Enjoyed lunch at Boulder Ridge Country Club and a terrific presentation on company branding and marketing with presentations by service printing corporation, Social Butterfly Social Media Management Services, Chic Noel LLC, Crystal Lake City Lifestyle and Stellar Edge. It was a very informative session!

For our McHenry County neighbors and customers that experienced damage from the April 17-18 storms.

If your McHenry County home or property was damaged by the April 17-18 severe weather, or by the ongoing flooding (through April 30), the McHenry County Emergency Management Agency is asking you to fill out a brief online survey.
Reporting your damage directly affects how much assistance McHenry County can receive. State and federal agencies use damage data to determine eligibility for disaster assistance programs – the more complete the data, the stronger a case McHenry County can make for receiving federal and state recovery dollars to help affected people. Early and accurate reporting can shorten the time for assistance approval and helps prioritize resources and recovery efforts to the hardest-hit areas.
The survey will take between 10 and 15 minutes. It is not monitored in real time and is for non-emergency reporting only. If you have an emergency, call 911. If you are in need of non-emergency services related to storm or flood damage, call 211, or contact your municipal or township government.

Economic Outlook On Tap at Prairie Street Brewing Co. with the Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce on March 10th was such a dynamic and engaging event.

It was great to see so many local business leaders come together to discuss the economic outlook, share insights, and strengthen connections within the Rockford community. Events like this highlight the collaboration and forward-thinking mindset that make our region such a great place to do business.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and continue through this evening, ending overnight for areas southeast of Interstate 80. The main threats are large hail and flooding for areas north of I-80. All severe weather hazards are possible along and south of Interstate 80, including the possibility for strong tornadoes.

There is a level 2-3 out of 5 severe threat in the region Tuesday late afternoon through night. All severe hazards, including tornadoes, large to destructive hail, damaging winds, and flash flooding are possible. The main threat for tornadoes exists primarily well south of I-80.
