This ol’ girl was almost 20yrs old with well over 100k miles on her when she was brought to The Detail Guy for a full detail restoration with some custom touches.
Work completed: multiple step paint correction, touch-up paint, headlights restored, black plastic trim dyed black and permanently repaired, window moldings all polished, dyed and permanently restored, front grill restored, front license plate delete for cleaner look, black license plate frame for rear to match vehicle body color, 5 rims cleaned, sanded, prepped and painted Gloss Black with automotive wheel paint and 2k clear coat, wheel center caps cleaned, prepped and shot with clear coat to match gloss black rims
Now this ride is ready for another 100K+ more miles and looks better than she did when she was brand new.

What is Paint Correction?

Ceramic SPRAY vs. Ceramic COATING.
This vehicle was one of my favorites to do a full paint correction and 5yr ceramic coating on. Once done the color just radiates unbelievablably!!
There was also a lesson learned when doing this vehicle. The client used a Ceramic SPRAY on detailer to give the car a shine after washing. What I learned is that this spray softened the top portion of clear coat making it much more difficult to do the paint correction.
To all enthusiasts out there: Ceramic SPRAY on detail products are NOT the same as ceramic coatings. In fact, you are spending double to triple the cost of a normal spray detailer and it may be detrimental to the paint on your vehicle if it doesn’t have a proper ceramic coating on it prior to applying to the vehicle.
I will not post name brands, but these spray on ceramic products are mostly found in Facebook ads as “the only product you will ever need” for your car. Remember what your parents taught you: If it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t!!
