At first glance, it looks like one ant is kidnapping another. 🐜

What’s actually happening is even more interesting. Ants work together in ways most people never notice—carrying injured nestmates, removing dead ants from the colony, and relocating their young when it’s time to move.

Nature is incredible when you slow down and take a closer look.

Spray foam can be a great product—when it’s installed correctly.

One of the homes I inspected recently had foam sprayed all the way past the sill plate, leaving no visible inspection band. The problem? That makes it difficult to properly inspect for termite activity.

A small detail during installation can have a big impact years down the road.

If you’re considering spray foam or want to make sure your home remains accessible for termite inspections, it’s worth asking the right questions before the job starts.

One less hornet nest, one safer yard.

Bald-faced hornets may look similar to wasps, but they can be extremely defensive when their nest is disturbed. If you’ve noticed increased activity around your home, don’t ignore it—these nests can grow surprisingly fast throughout the season.

Today’s nest is gone, and the homeowner can enjoy their outdoor space again.
