Fiber Tec Services has been cleaning carpet for 25 years. Cleaning visible soil from every day messes, often created by kids or pets, are the reason for most of our client calls. In today's post, I wanted to take a moment to share a few of our more difficult jobs we've completed recently and a few key takeaways for educational purposes.

1) Kids and pets keep us in business.

2) Less is more when trying to clean messes in your carpet or on upholstery. In many cases, recipes you find on the internet can set in a stain or make the issue worse.

3) Many products labeled for carpet or upholstery, can actually cause damage and prevent us from being able to remove the visible portion of your problem when we clean.

4) Water is your best friend - dilute, dilute, dilute, then call us to have your mess professionally cleaned!

First Series: Dog vs. Ink Pen - Unfortunately, the client tried to clean it with a product that resulted in some color loss (bleaching) of the carpet ahead of having us come out. We were honest with the client to manage expectations because we were not confident we could get the ink out completely, but they wanted us to try before they took the step of replacing the carpet. Our client was thrilled with our end results.

Second Series: Sick Child - Vomit clean ups are very tough and sometimes unsuccessful in removing 100% of the visible spot, but we got great results for this client.

Final Series: Another Vomit Spot - This client used distilled water in their efforts to clean up as much as possible before having us come out and that is likely a big part of the amazing results. Another great before/after comparison.
