Did you know that once a person begins showing symptoms of rabies, the disease is nearly 100% fatal?

Let that sink in. Once symptoms appear, it is almost always too late.

The scary part? You can be infected for weeks or even months before showing a single symptom!

But here's what everyone needs to understand: RABIES IS PREVENTABLE if you seek medical treatment BEFORE symptoms begin!

Raccoons, bats, foxes, and skunks are some of the most common carriers of rabies in South Carolina.

⚠️ Never attempt to handle a wild animal, even if it appears friendly or injured.

⚠️ Don't assume an animal doesn't have rabies just because it's acting normal.

⚠️ Keep your pets up to date on their rabies vaccinations.

⚠️ If you're bitten, scratched, or potentially exposed, wash the area immediately and seek medical attention. DO NOT WAIT FOR SYMPTOMS!

We're starting to question their parents, too, because clearly somebody failed to introduce these boys to some GOOD music growing up! 🤦‍♀️🤣

They might know how to catch a critter, but finishing a classic song? That's a whole different story!

A little friendly competition at Catawba Wildlife to see who can bend metal the fastest! 💪🔨

But around here, it's not just about how fast you can get the job done. It's about how GOOD it looks when you're finished!

Anybody can slap up a pre-made piece of metal or fill a hole with foam. But let's be real, that foam breaks down, critters can chew right through it, and some of those repairs stick out like a sore thumb! 🐿️🏠

Our fellas are trained to custom bend metal right on-site, fitting each piece to your home. We take pride in making repairs that not only keep unwanted critters OUT but also look clean and professional.

Because protecting your home shouldn't mean making it look ugly!

💥This past week, we had the opportunity to celebrate our 10-year anniversary by taking some of our OG employees and their families to Orlando, Florida, for a getaway at Evermore Resort. We spent time at Disney World, made memories, shared laughs, and got to enjoy something we don't always get enough of in the middle of running a business — quality time together.

Looking back over the last 10 years, there have been plenty of long days, late nights, challenges, lessons learned, and blessings along the way. But one thing is certain: we didn't build this alone.

These fellas have been a huge part of our journey. They've shown up, worked hard, believed in what we were building, and helped turn that little idea in a garage into something bigger than we ever imagined.

Profit is good. Growth is good. But being able to pour back into the people who have helped us get here, enrich their lives, and create memories with their families? That's what makes it all worth it.

We don't want to just build a company that makes money. We want to build a company that makes a difference in the lives of the people who are part of it.

Seeing our guys laughing, relaxing, and enjoying time with their wives and kids meant more to us than any number on a financial statement ever could.

We're thankful for every employee, every customer, and every person who has supported us along the way. Most importantly, we're thankful to God for opening doors, guiding our steps, and blessing us with opportunities we never could've imagined when this all started.

10 years ago, it was just an idea in a garage. Today, it's a business that helps provide for multiple families, creates opportunities, and continues to grow.

And to us, that's what success looks like.

We’re a day late, but we couldn’t let it slide without wishing our office fella, Ritchie , a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂

Ritchie is the guy behind the scenes helping keep this crazy crew organized, answering the phones, keeping up with customers, and somehow managing everything we throw his way!

We appreciate you, Ritchie, and everything you do for Catawba Wildlife. Hope you had an awesome birthday!

Y’all help us show our office fella some love and wish Richie a Happy Birthday! 🥳

Never a day off when you’re a wildlife tech… not even on vacation.

Everybody else is relaxing, and our leader is out here wrestling an alligator.

Okay… so this one might be inflatable, but you’ve gotta stay sharp somehow.

Wildlife doesn’t take a vacation, and apparently neither do we.

Yesterday wasn’t about Catawba Wildlife. It wasn’t about business, jobs, or what we do Monday through Friday.

It was about showing up for something bigger.

We’re proud of some of our guys who came out to Hope for the Hill revival at Fountain Park, hosted by our leader Robbie, and weren’t afraid to worship, share testimonies, hear the Word, and be part of what God was doing.

From the worship, to the testimonies, to the preaching, it was a GREAT day for the Lord.

And one of our favorite moments had to be seeing one of our youngest little Critter Getters get up on that stage and worship!

We talk a lot around here about being a team, having each other’s backs, and doing things the right way. But seeing these guys show up outside of work, worship together, and support something centered around Jesus means more than any job we could ever complete.

Proud of our crew. Proud of the men they’re becoming. And thankful for a day spent giving God all the glory.

Some things are bigger than business. This was one of them.
