Coyote Hunting in Montana-Sept 2010:
Step 1: "Always locate your coyotes first" Craig O'Gorman, Broadus MT.
*There is a siren on the bumper of the truck. Coyotes will howl at a siren out west. I've NEVER heard that response here.
Picture Two: O'Gorman waiting for the decoy dogs to work a coyote within sight. No sense in getting the rifle ready just yet.
Picture Three: The result; dragging a coyote back to the gate where the rancher can verify his work/kill.
Experts do NOT kill coyotes for "fun" or for free. It's a vocation the same as a plumber, an electrician or any other skilled trade. This is a concept unheard of here in the east to weekend warriors and corn farmers who you must beg for permission to hunt. Two different worlds east and west.
