Sullivan’s septic came out today to help with a pump replacement, after pumping the tank we found a baby snapping turtle🐢.His life was starting out sh*tty 💩 so we moved him to the woods

If you ever wondered who keeps everyone straight around Sullivan Septic Service, it certainly is not me or Dad 😂. It is this lady right here! Mom deserves a post of her own because, to be quite honest, everything would fall apart without her.

Marti, Herb’s wife, is who you will talk to when making payments over the phone, scheduling pump outs & you will also see her out in the truck with Dad some days! She has been keeping Dad straight (or at least trying to 😜) since they were teenagers! When she isn’t doing office work, I can almost guarantee that you will find her spoiling her grandkids ❤️

One thing that Dad always makes sure of, is to not mess up a customers yard. We try to leave it how we found it, as much as possible. So, we always pull the hoses off of the truck and across yards to reach the tank, instead of getting the truck closer. Sometimes that may be 1 hose, but other times it can be every hose off of the truck. If nothing else, it’s a good work out getting them on & off of the truck all day 😜💪🏻

Last Friday one of our tanks was hidden in a jungle, this Friday it was hidden under a deck! Luckily, these people did have a hatch installed so that it was easy to find & we could still access the tank. This customer was super sweet & gave us homemade sourdough bagels when we were done the job!

Sunday fun with Sullivan Septic

Sometimes we find the septic tank in a nice, easy to get to spot. Then, sometimes people have built patios/decks/additions over top of them, sometimes landscaping has been placed over them, sometimes they are 2+ feet deep & sometimes (like today) they are in a mini jungle under a tire…we just never know until we get there. It’s all part of the fun I guess 🤣. We cleared all of the overgrowth & Dad got all of the roots out of the tank, so now this customer is good to go!
