Taytay has taken on the role of content creator over here at DPC. I want to apologize for any delays we’ve had in communication these last few weeks. Between myself and Kaleb in the field working daylight to dark, and Kayla running the office side of things, we’ve been swamped! I’m super grateful for each and every customer, one time service or recurrent service. I will say, preventative maintenance can help prevent issues like the one in this video.

Over a decade ago now I remember sitting in the back room of my sister’s boutique, using her store computer and the program I’ve always been so fond of-Microsoft Paint to design my very first logo for this business that my peers at the time and family had little belief would end up being my livelihood. I had been a coal miner for around six years. I was so excited for a new opportunity. Not just to break away from the tensions that come with the mining industry. But to have the time to be creative again. It’s funny in those moments how I found myself on her computer designing this logo feeling as giddy as a child. But as a young father and husband, nervous as well. Yeah this image isn’t much. And a few months later I was a little better at Photoshop and put together the logo that you all see on the regular now. But there’s something about the humanity of the story and the emotions that keep me attached to this very wabi sabi Microsoft Paint image. We had our second baby on the way and my dad had just received a terrible diagnosis that ended up ending his journey on this planet a few years later. I’d walked away from the industry I had known and trusted to keep my bills paid. Despite the odds, I had hope. This image means so much to me. This is my life. This is human. This is art.

I’m so grateful for every single one of my customers who have trusted me since day one, and those who have joined in along the way. Also grateful for those who are considering using Dominion Pest Control for your pest control and extermination needs. Stay safe and warm my friends.
