Over a decade ago now I remember sitting in the back room of my sister’s boutique, using her store computer and the program I’ve always been so fond of-Microsoft Paint to design my very first logo for this business that my peers at the time and family had little belief would end up being my livelihood. I had been a coal miner for around six years. I was so excited for a new opportunity. Not just to break away from the tensions that come with the mining industry. But to have the time to be creative again. It’s funny in those moments how I found myself on her computer designing this logo feeling as giddy as a child. But as a young father and husband, nervous as well. Yeah this image isn’t much. And a few months later I was a little better at Photoshop and put together the logo that you all see on the regular now. But there’s something about the humanity of the story and the emotions that keep me attached to this very wabi sabi Microsoft Paint image. We had our second baby on the way and my dad had just received a terrible diagnosis that ended up ending his journey on this planet a few years later. I’d walked away from the industry I had known and trusted to keep my bills paid. Despite the odds, I had hope. This image means so much to me. This is my life. This is human. This is art.

I’m so grateful for every single one of my customers who have trusted me since day one, and those who have joined in along the way. Also grateful for those who are considering using Dominion Pest Control for your pest control and extermination needs. Stay safe and warm my friends.

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a minute to explain how we operate when rain is in the forecast or comes through around when your pest control service is scheduled. If it’s a light rain we can usually push through, unless it’s been at it for a while and the ground is saturated. Anything more than that usually results in a reschedule IF your service requires outdoor treatment. If it’s an indoor treatment, we press on. My goal is to make sure everyone gets their money’s worth. Appreciate you all!

Hey friends-not to spam you all with another pest control update. If this kind of thing bores you, scroll on. If you’re considering buying or selling your home you may want to read on. I thought it would be a good idea to share some information about a Wood Destroying Insect inspection. The infamous NPMA33 form that must be filled out and sent to a lender prior to closing a real estate transaction. Now, I’m no real estate expert. But I have had to be the bearer of bad news several times when it comes to these inspections. I will be the first one to say that these inspections are not to be taken lightly, and while by no means am I perfect, I try to be as thorough and cautious as I can when doing one. Sometimes I have to recommend treatment because of an active infestation, and sometimes I have to recommend treatment based on previous evidence of termites, even when no live bugs are found. This all comes back to whether or not the home is under a termite warranty with a licensed termite control company. Below is a screenshot as to why or why not myself or other termite inspectors would or would not be recommending a treatment on your home.

Howdy Dominion Pest Customers/Followers! Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to everyone whether you’re a monthly, seasonal, or even considering choosing DPC. The spring weather has the bugs moving quite a bit and the phone has been ringing off the hook which we’re extremely grateful for. I have been doing my best to return everyone’s calls and messages in a timely manner all while maintaining my regular routes. ‼️Attention DPC customers! Hope you’re all doing well. I just wanted to jump on here to give an update to all of our monthly residential customers-

As the harsh winter has messed with our normal routes I just wanted to let everyone know we’re in hopes as the weather breaks we’ll be on our normal routine soon. My goal is to always make sure you’re getting your money’s worth out of us with each service. With so much rain and snow to work around the last few weeks it’s difficult to maintain the normal.
