I believe in showing the good, bad, and the ugly.
Today is unfortunately the ugly, a window cleaners worst nightmare….. cracking a window!
The hole in the glass you see was already there due to a lawnmower / rock incident. In my zone and going with the flow I didn’t even notice the window was already compromised.
Typically, noticing the hole we would have just given this window a “ slop wash “ no scrubbing. Was doing some hardwater removal, which takes a lot of pressure , hit the right spot and watched the crack form from top to bottom. Let the customer know immediately.
She was surprisingly adamant about not making Elite pay for it and she knew it already had the hole. Point is before we got to her house there was no crack, before we left there was one.
Wouldn’t feel morally right not getting this replaced, called a company that will swing out there tomorrow and said they can have a window installed by next week. Thankfully it’s double paned so the inside window is fine and not causing wind / bugs in
First time in 6 years breaking a window, hopefully will be the last.
