It has been a GREAT day OPEN at Soggys! My heart is full!

It’s even more full knowing we are already getting school supply donations for our big event Saturday!

Feel free to drop off any school supply donations you would like to donate! I know school for Rice is next week so the plan is to donate all the supplies we receive straight back to Rice ISD and allow them to use them throughout the year in their classrooms.

Being a previous teacher, one thing I always remembered is needing more supplies through the year or the students who couldn’t get their school supplies for the year. THIS is the purpose of all of this 🫶🏻

We are also sponsoring a sweet family who needs supplies for 1 kindergarten girl and a 1st grade girl. I’m attaching the supplies list if you want to donate specify these items at all! If so, please let me know specifically the items you’re providing so I can mark them off.

Saturday will be here QUICK! We still have some space for vendors as we had some not be able to make it so reach out if you’re interested!

SURPRISE! We are open today at 8 am!

We got this place back probably cleaner than is originally was if it’s possible, and will be back open our normal hours today 8 am to 9 pm (last wash at 8).

Our event is STILL ON!

We will be back open at the latest, Thursday and we cannot wait! So that means our back to school grand opening event is still going to happen!

I’ve reached out to all vendors so check your messages as I want to verify we are good to go and still have some spots as we had a couple need to back out so if you’re interested in being a vendor Saturday 11-2 at our laundromat, reach out!

I really want this BIG yall! Especially after what we just went through, let’s show some support to our kiddos and educators by donating any school supplies (nothing is too big or too small), come shop and support local businesses and say hi! And check out the new ceiling 😂

Thank yall for your patience through all of this! Having so many reach out and ask if we’re back open yet is solid proof we are going in the right direction!

Have to give a BIG shout out to Hamil Harrison & Co. for the QUICK response and getting our AC back in business TODAY! That means we just need the contractor out who’s coming tomorrow and there’s a BIG possibility we will open at the latest, Thursday.

Yall.. I’ve never heard more sweeter words. Even while my husband was up there mowing, a sweet man and his family and so many clothes to wash and turning them down is breaking our hearts! But we’re seeing the light at the end of this crazy tunnel and can’t thank this awesome local AC company for truly taking care of us so quick! HIGHLY recommend if you need a trustworthy AC company!

Stay tuned and pray this is the up and up we need to get things back in order for our community to use our facilities and our big back to school grand opening on Saturday!

Happy Saturday!

The contractors are supposed to start today with the prayers they will get it fixed correctly and timely but also quickly if that makes sense.

This leak has been mentally draining as I feel we’ve put so much into our laundromat all for this to happen BUT it is part of owning a business, it can’t always be amazing.

I also realize our back to school grand opening event is a week from today… we still plan to have this. Literally, re grand opening 😂 stay with us 🙏 and we could definitely use all of the support for this so please plan to come, support local small businesses and donate school supplies if you feel led!

Please be patient and know we are doing everything to get back open! If you know us, you know we want that for our community.

Stay tuned and pray over the contractors as well.

We are sorry for the inconvenience but Soggys will remain closed at least until Friday.

We aren’t sure if we had a water leak in the ceiling or an ac issue, but the ceiling has to be repaired before we allow any customers in as it is a major hazard and the safety of our customers is very important to us.

Believe me when I say, we are sad to have to do this. But praying hard it gets repaired fast and we can open those doors back up! This place is so special to us so it saddens us to not be open.

Introducing another vendor for our back to school grand opening event August 1st:

Pretty Little Things

Hi I’m Nicole Weaver! I was a teacher and decided to stay home when I had my little boy who is now three.

I started this business as a side gig and it has grown into a passion of mine. I do intend on returning to teaching when my son starts school but I will always have this side business! It is my hobby and I love making cute stuff that people will love!

I make keychains, wristlets, bookmarks, lanyards, badge reels, earrings, glass cups, and men’s tumblers!

The best thing about my business is it’s something I am passionate about and it allows me to make some extra income so I can stay home with my little boy, who is my whole world!

Yesterday I got to meet a sweet new client who needed her clothes washed same day!

Did you know we can do that? It is an additional fee per lb, but it’s totally doable and we get it done and returned to you same day, clean and folded nicely!

The best part of this laundromat that I’ve learned so far, is meeting all the new faces that walk in or I’ve come in contact with! It’s just been the coolest thing!
