Happy Tuesday!

We’ve had quite a few new faces follow our page and I thought I’d re-introduce ourselves so you know the faces behind Soggy Peso Laundromat!

Hi! We are the Curry family! Born and raised in Ennis, I own a cleaning business called CurryClean and my husband is an Ennis firefighter! We have two kiddos, one in 10th grade and one in 7th who go to Ennis ISD!

With owning a cleaning business, it’s always been a dream to also own a laundromat! The thought of cleaning your home AND laundry just excited me lol and finally finding our place right here in Rice has been a dream!

We have 19 washers, 8 are your normal sized washers that can hold up to 20 lbs and 1 large washers than can hold up to 40. We also have 10 dryers. We are open 8 am to 9 pm Monday through Sunday! Washers are $3.50 (large is $6.50) and dryers right now are 1 quarter for 12 minutes. Affordable!

We also offer wash and fold service with a drop off system that has lockers inside in our back room! We have turn around time of 24 hours or same day for an additional fee!

We are small but this place is well loved and so clean! We want it to be an affordable place for you to bring your laundry and sit in a clean environment, with clean machines, or a place you can trust to drop off your clothing to be washed.

Not only can we take care of your laundry needs (because I know working at the school all day, the last thing you want to think about is laundry), we’ll have it done in 24 hours, washed, clean and folded nicely to be put away!

You can drop off and pick up use our awesome locker system or depending on location, we can pick up! There is a small travel fee if so far out.

Just a little PSA:

My husband has been deployed to fight these Texas wildfires and could possibly be gone for two weeks.

With that, that means our handy man,
lawn guy, maintenance man.. the do it all kinda guy, is not here. If a machine goes down, I’ll do my best to operate 😂 but I do ask for patience as I am a one woman show right now and will do what I can at my best ability (no promises although I have successfully fixed one on my own haha).

Also kindly asking for prayers over all of the firefighters battling these fires in this heat and to all those affected. May they have plenty of hydration, food and safety over them!

We need rain, badly!

Someone sweet presented this precious idea to me and I just gotta see if we can make it happen…

Introducing, Wash and Hang! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

What I hope to be a once a month event for you and your girlfriends to come wash your clothes and hang out! Bring your favorite beverage, I’ll have some snacks or a precious charcuterie provided and maybe a fancy drink of the month and we’ll knock out the hardest part of being a mama all while with your friends, hanging out!

What else could make washing clothes better?!

I’m looking for a group of 3 or more OR two groups of 3, interested in this!
