The secret to cleaner kitchen floors? It’s all about cleaning them the right way for your floor type!! Follow these basics to have spotless floors 🧹🪣
No matter what kind of flooring you have, start with these basics:
• Sweep or vacuum to remove crumbs and dirt.
• Use a microfiber mop and avoid soaking your floors.
• Always check your flooring manufacturer’s care instructions before cleaning.
Tile: Mop with warm water and white vinegar. For dirty grout, sprinkle baking soda, spray with vinegar, let it fizz, then gently scrub with a soft brush.
Hardwood: Use warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap. Mop lightly in the direction of the wood grain, then dry immediately.
Laminate: A barely damp microfiber mop with warm water and a small amount of vinegar is all you need. Skip steam mops and excess water.
Vinyl: Clean with warm water, vinegar, and a few drops of dish soap. For scuff marks, gently rub with a baking soda paste.
Linoleum: Mop with warm water and white vinegar, then dry and buff with a soft cloth for extra shine.
Stone (marble, granite, and slate): Stick to pH-neutral cleaners—never vinegar or citrus. Wipe up spills right away and avoid abrasive scrubbers.
Keep floors cleaner longer by cleaning spills as they happen, sweeping daily, using entry mats to trap dirt, and deep cleaning weekly.
