Experience has been thrown around in this year’s Pickens County Sheriff’s race. I have detailed my experience to you in previous posts – I have served in law enforcement since 2009. In those 13 years, I have performed everything from patrolling the streets to investigating and solving large-scale thefts to investigating and solving murders and coordinating multi-agency drug operations to keep dangerous drugs out of our communities. I was once told by a wise supervisor that “everyone in law enforcement has an expiration date.” He wanted me to know that there will come a day when technology and techniques have surpassed the methods in which we are trained. It happens to every generation of law enforcement, which has occurred for the current Pickens County Sheriff’s Office administration. It is time for new leadership. It is time for a fresh start. It is time to elect me, Jordan Powell, to be the next Sheriff of Pickens County.
I am proud to be in law enforcement, I am proud to dedicate my life to serving my community, and I am proud of the hard-working deputies that we currently have at the Sheriff’s Office. But we need more deputies, better leadership, and fewer toys to spend your hard-earned tax dollars on. I am still out in the community meeting with as many of you as possible, so please don’t hesitate to message me, call me, text me, or do anything you can to talk to me about this year’s election. I want your vote, I want your support, and I want to return the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office to a law enforcement agency that you can all be proud of. So, on May 24th, vote for change in the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office – vote for Jordan Powell.
