We've noticed a surge in bedbug cases in our area lately. Bedbugs are incredibly hard to spot to the untrained eye, and once they are finally noticed, there is usually already an infestation. These bugs are hard to get rid of, so we must all do our part to help keep these pests from spreading.
If you know you have an issue with bedbugs, here are some tips to cut down on the spread:
1. Do not give away contaminated furniture, bedding, or clothing. Bedbugs are hitchhikers and will travel on these items and cause infestations in other people's homes.
2. Be honest with guests. Inform them that you are dealing with bedbugs and advise them against sleeping over at your house or visiting until the issue is resolved.
3. Do not visit or sleep over at other people's homes until you are bedbug free. There is a high chance you will transport bedbugs to their home on your clothing or your belongings.
Just be considerate of others. No one wants to deal with bedbugs. If you can save someone else from the hardship, then do it!
