Parkway Laundromat is still open to serve our customers. Our daily hours are from 7am-9pm daily. If you need any help during this time - elderly, home bound or immuno compromised. Let us know and we can arrange a way to help you get your clothes cleaned!

We are also asking for the safety of all customers that you try to come alone to do your laundry versus bringing the family into the store. When you are at the store please make sure you are washing your hands.

We are heightening our cleaning at the store and wiping down all of the machinery several times per day in efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.

We are remaining open daily 7am to 9pm and will post additional updates to any changes to the schedule that will occur, if any. Additional cleaning is being performed throughout the store.

Keeping clean homes, work surfaces and washing of hands throughout these times is important so keep cleaning, including your clothes. We recommend that you wash your hands and we have a wash basin near the front of the store for you to use. The CDC makes the following recommendations for handling laundry:

Clothing, towels, linens and other items that go in the laundry
Wear disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry from an ill person and then discard after each use. If using reusable gloves, those gloves should be dedicated for cleaning and disinfection of surfaces for COVID-19 and should not be used for other household purposes. Clean hands immediately after gloves are removed.
If no gloves are used when handling dirty laundry, be sure to wash hands afterwards.
If possible, do not shake dirty laundry. This will minimize the possibility of dispersing virus through the air.
Launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If possible, launder items using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dry items completely. Dirty laundry from an ill person can be washed with other people’s items.
Clean and disinfect clothes hampers according to guidance above for surfaces. If possible, consider placing a bag liner that is either disposable (can be thrown away) or can be laundered.

Parkway Laundromat is looking for a part time attendant. Duties include cleaning, assisting customers, washing/drying/folding clothes and selling items over the counter. This job requires lifting, being on your feet and completing tasks in a timely manner. This shift would include working typically 3pm-11pm and being available to work on weekends- approx 24 hours per week. Must also have flexibility to be on-call when there is heavy washing volume to support demands of the business.

Key skills to this role would be
* Professional and courteous in the level of customer service that you provide
* Problem solving skills
* Self starter - ability to work independently to clean tasks on your scheduled shift
* Ability to count change and balance a cash register
* Washing and drying knowledge - ability to fold and package as prescribed by customers
* Cleaning - ability to clean and wash equipment, store facility so it remains clean and comfortable for guest use
* Communication - ability to communicate with customers and co-workers effectively
