I may have traded the box truck for a shop…

But I’ll never stop betting on myself.

These pictures remind me of the day I pushed every chip I had to the center of the table.

It wasn’t comfortable.
I didn’t have a savings account.
Nothing was guaranteed.

Just a leap of faith.
No backup plan.
No safety net.
Just all chips in.

The biggest challenge wasn’t learning how to detail, buff and polish—I already knew that.

The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do was transition from being the technician and the manager… to the business owner.

Learning how to run a business while trying to grow one has been the toughest lesson of my life and the most rewarding!! 🔥

And I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat!! ❤️🤍🖤

A dream built on hard work, long days, late nights, mistakes, lessons, and the belief that doing things the right way would always matter.

Looking back at the very first photo I took here… it’s amazing to see how far Douglas Detail Works has come.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of earning the trust of thousands of vehicles and the incredible people behind them. For that, I’ll always be grateful.

If I had the chance to do it all over again…

Five years ago, on the Fourth of July, I took a chance on my favorite holiday and opened the doors to Douglas Detail Works.

Back then, I was 100% mobile, working out a super rad Isuzu truck & Black Beauty. Since then, the business has grown into a dedicated protection shop—but one thing has never changed: my commitment to treating every vehicle like it’s my own.

The past five years have been filled with long days, late nights, setbacks, lessons learned, and moments that tested me. They’ve also brought incredible customers, lasting friendships, and opportunities I never imagined.
