Supporting the fight against ALS means more than just raising awareness — it means showing up for those affected and helping make a difference however we can. 💙 Grateful to be a part of something that brings people together for such an important cause. Every conversation, share, and act of support matters.
ALS Awareness Month is about understanding how deeply this disease can affect everyday life over time.
ALS impacts the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscles, which can gradually affect movement, speech, eating, and breathing. As changes happen, individuals and families often have to continuously adapt to new challenges and routines.
At ALS in the Heartland, we are committed to helping people navigate those changes through support services, equipment, education, and care designed to meet individuals where they are in their journey. 💙
