This cake right here!!! 💛

This Italian lemon cream cake is my version of the popular one from the Cheesecake Factory. This cake has fluffy vanilla cake layers, a filling of lemon mascarpone cream, and the outside of the cake has a lemon crumb topping. Powdered sugar is dusted over the whole cake for a pretty finish.

Oh those stove top burner areas… I know some housekeepers loathe them. But I actually like them. Not only does it give instant gratification while I’m cleaning them, it always impresses the customer!

And I am allllllll about my customers being happy!

This pandemic is something to be taken seriously, especially for those with weakened immune systems.

In addition to arriving at your home with a face mask, surgical booties, and gloves, I have this virucide - yes, you read that right, IT KILLS VIRUSES - in my arsenal of cleaning and disinfecting products.

Virkon, for those of you who do not know, is what zoos use when they are faced with viruses and bacterial infections that need to be contained. Those of you with horses will appreciate that it is effective in containing and destroying - the almost impossible to kill - strangles. It is also capable of destroying the dreaded chicken virus, Newcastle’s, which is why I had it already on hand, before the pandemic happened.

I also have Members Mark Food Grade Sanitizer, for kitchens.

Here are some other reasons I am confident I am a good choice to clean for you, even during these concerning times....

First of all, I live alone. So no one else is sharing my living space, who could possibly be bringing the virus to me.

Secondly, I am severely limiting my trips into areas with other people, and taking every precaution, when I do.

When I come to clean, I wear only clothes that have not been in anyone else’s home, or in public places. The exception to this are my shoes, which are sprayed with Virkon, and then put into surgical booties.

Thanks to a wonderful friend, I have numerous masks to wear, giving me time to completely disinfect each mask before wearing it again. All my masks have a pocket for disposable filters that are discarded after each use.

I have my own products to clean with, and the bag they come in, is also sprayed with Virkon before I bring it into your home. For those with preexisting conditions, I suggest allowing me to use your products, cleaning rags, brooms, mop, etc.

For now, I am not bringing my vacuum into anyone’s home.

At this time, I am only cleaning for customers who take this stay home order seriously.

My business took a serious hit when the pandemic happened. I understand, and respect, not wanting extra people in your home at this time. But if you are one of those people, or families, who still need your house cleaned and disinfected, I hope by sharing my preventative measures, you can feel safe in considering me.

In light of the pandemic situation, I want to let you know I am stepping up my game when I clean for you. First you should know that I live alone on my little farm.

In the event that I have gone into town, I shower before coming into your home, and put on clean clothes. While cleaning for you, I wear a new pair of disposable booties at each house; disinfect my hands when I arrive, or wear gloves; and one of three face masks I alternate, disinfecting after each use.

During this pandemic...

I use a new swifter to dust. If you see me using a damp cloth, you can rest assured it has been completely cleaned and disinfected, between uses.

The scrubbie I use in your home has never been used anywhere else. When I am done cleaning for you, it is thrown away.

In addition to the cleaners I use, I am using a food grade disinfectant in many of my concoction cleaners, including the floor cleaner.

If you prefer I do not bring my supplies inside, I am happy to use supplies that you provide. Just let me know.

I believe I am still a safer choice as someone coming into your home because, unlike most other housekeepers, I live alone. There is no one sharing my living space with me. In my every day life I am isolating as much as possible, which is not much different than how I live anyway! I am also careful to wear a mask, and gloves whenever I am in public.

If anyone in your household gets sick, please let me know immediately, and we will do the same.

If you have any concerns now, or in the upcoming weeks, as this situation progresses, please feel free to talk to me.

Not everyone has a job they love... a job that makes them happy to get up and go to work. I am one of the lucky ones.

From the bottom of my heart I am grateful for the wonderful customers I have, who still make me feel this way!
