With the threat of freezing rain, snow, low temps. For those who leave the pool running all winter and the pool equipnent is outside and have valve actuators like pictures below. You should put 5 gallon buckets over the valves so they do not freeze and fail causing pipe and equipment damage. If we lose power and below freezing temps throw tarps blankets over the equipment to try to prevent freeze damage. If you have a generator a light placed under these tarps will help heat under the tarps. Ginny Hoffman

🌊 Aqua Haven Pools: Freeze Alert! ❄️

Hi everyone! With freezing temperatures on the way, here are a few quick tips to help protect your pool if you lose power and the pool isn’t winterized:

1️⃣ Wrap Up! Add blankets around your pool equipment, heater, and any exposed pipes if they’re outdoors.

2️⃣ Drain Back: If your pool equipment is higher than the water level, pipes will naturally drain back into the pool – but remember, this won’t protect your heater.

3️⃣ Cover & Protect: If your pool water level is above the equipment, cover as much of the equipment as possible to minimize exposure.

4️⃣ Skimmer Hack: Place empty bottles (with lids) in your skimmer. This helps prevent the skimmer from cracking as the ice will collapse the bottle instead.

5️⃣ Stay Safe: Bundle up, grab your sleds, and make the most of the snow! ❄️

This holiday season, we're bringing the beach to the rooftop!

Come by and catch a glimpse of Santa Claus swapping his sleigh for a surfboard, riding the waves above our building.

It's our way of adding a splash of festive cheer to the community.

With the excess rain when letting water out of your pool with a sand filter, use the waste position on the multi port and turn the pump on and off before moving the handle on your Multiport . Tie a piece of string on your finger or something so you don't forget to put it back in filter mode .
