Our Wheeling team recently gathered for the 5th Annual Guy Sheldon Chili Cook-Off, a tradition honoring the memory of a cherished member of our Rose family.

Guy was part of our Wheeling team for 14½ years before his passing in January 2022. Known for his great ideas, inventive spirit, and the respect he earned from customers and coworkers alike, Guy left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Each year, we come together to honor Guy’s memory with a fun, flavorful competition that brings out everyone’s best recipes and team spirit.

Congratulations to this year’s winners! 🌶️

This black widow spider was found inside a rodent bait station in DuPage County, Illinois! 🕷️

Black widows are native to Illinois, but sightings are relatively uncommon. They prefer dark, sheltered, undisturbed spaces, making a rodent bait station an ideal hiding spot. Although their venom is medically significant, these spiders are generally not aggressive and typically bite when threatened or accidentally disturbed.

Have you ever spotted a black widow in Illinois?
