Here at Piney woods, we know that the holiday season is here! I would like to share why I believe it is important to spray even during the colder months plus some of our frequently asked questions.
CUSTOMER: “Why should I sign up for regular pest-control sprays from Pineywoods — especially now that it’s getting colder?”
Piney Woods : “That’s a great question. A lot of folks think pests go away when the weather gets cold — but that’s not true. In fact, winter is prime time for pests seeking shelter. Many rodents, cockroaches, spiders and other pests don’t just disappear; they come inside walls, basements, attics, or seek warmth in your home.
Customer: “Really? I thought cold weather kept bugs away.”
Piney Woods: “I wish! But here’s the problem: as outdoor conditions get rough, pests look for cozy indoors — where there’s warmth, food, and water. Tiny cracks around windows, doors, foundations, or gaps around pipes and vents are like open invitations.
Once pests are inside, they can hide quietly — in walls, stored boxes, attics, or basements — and start living, nesting, and reproducing.
Customer: “Okay, that makes sense. But why choose Pineywoods over other companies?”
Piney Woods: “Because with Pineywoods, you’re not getting a different technician every time. It’ll be just me — every visit. I want to get to know each home and every customer personally. That way, you get consistent care from someone who knows your house’s weak spots, entry points, and history.
Other companies often rotate technicians — you never know who’s showing up, and they don’t always know what was done last time. With Pineywoods, you build a relationship, and I know exactly what treatment was applied before — that makes prevention much more effective.
Customer: “That sounds good. So regular spraying even in cold months, and always having the same person — that’s the plan?”
Piney Woods: “Exactly. Regular winter-time pest control helps keep your home protected all year round. We’re not just chasing bugs — we’re preventing them from ever finding a way in. If you set up quarterly or seasonal visits, you stay one step ahead instead of reacting to a full-blown infestation later.”
