Sometimes doing the right thing is more important than making a few bucks and this is a prime example of that. After discussing with Lenny we made a decision to go out and inspect in the morning, despite having a full schedule for the day, after finding there was nothing in the chimney and the animal found is way out we decided there was no need to charge for a 20 minute inspection.

This here is a southern flying squirrel, despite the name they are actually present and thriving throughout New York State. Most people will go there whole life without seeing them since they are primarily nocturnal. They tend to live in family groups and we have caught as many as 40 in one attic, usually family groups are closer to 6-12 animals.

We rescued this little fella from inside a clients wall and he has now been released.
