This is why I do what I do.

Gigi and Cru walking towards the shop on Main Street. Hand in hand. Van Buren stretching out before them. Sofia not pictured, she was on my hip.

I am not just building a bakery. I am trying to be part of something bigger. I want them to grow up in a town with more. More businesses. More things for kids. More reasons to stay. More proof that success can be had right here without having to leave for somewhere else.

I think about that a lot. What does this town look like when they are in middle school, high school, and grown? Will there be more to walk to down this sidewalk? Will more families want to raise their children here and what does it take to make that happen? More doors open? More people who saw what was possible here and decided to go for it.

I hope so. I am trying to be one of the reasons that happens. So If you hear of me advocating for more things for our children, it's because I take all this very seriously.

One day I fully expect Cru to hold my hand walking into those doors as an old woman and steady me down this street. ❤️

Hey everyone!! We need to postpone our flower bar event for tomorrow, June 6th due to circumstances that happen in life 🤪 But look forward to having House of Honeysuckle Rose on display at one of our events in the near future!!! ♥️
