Out of sight doesn't mean they're gone.

This video shows what happened after we applied a professional flushing agent around a child's drawing that had been taped to the wall. Within seconds, dozens of German cockroaches began pouring out from behind it.

German cockroaches are experts at hiding in tight cracks and crevices. Behind pictures, inside cabinets, around appliances, under sinks, and even behind outlet covers are all common hiding places. By the time you see one or two, there are often many more you haven't seen.

They're more than just unpleasant. German cockroaches can contaminate food, spread bacteria, trigger asthma and allergies, and reproduce incredibly fast.

If you're seeing roaches during the day, it's often a sign the infestation has grown beyond their normal hiding spaces.

Nature is incredible... until it starts eating your house.

The structures in this photo are subterranean termite shelter tubes, built from soil, saliva, and tiny bits of wood. These tunnels protect termites from drying out while they travel between the ground and the wood they're feeding on. For insects that are only about a quarter inch long, their engineering is remarkable.

Unfortunately, that same engineering allows colonies to quietly damage homes and businesses for months, sometimes years, before anyone notices.

Since we've got two Codys on the team, the nickname stuck. C-Dub is known for being respectful, a little on the quiet side, and the kind of person who lets his work speak for itself. He's dependable, hardworking, and always willing to stay until the job is complete.

Whether he's removing raccoons from an attic or solving a squirrel problem, C-Dub takes pride in doing the job right and making sure every customer is taken care of. His calm attitude and attention to quality are just a few of the reasons our customers and teammates enjoy working with him.

You never want to see this behind your baseboards.

This homeowner in Knox County noticed something didn't seem right. After removing some damaged baseboard, the problem became obvious. Active subterranean termites were crawling through the wood.

Hot, humid weather followed by rain is the perfect recipe for stinging insects. Right now we're seeing yellow jackets, paper wasps, and hornets becoming much more active as their colonies continue to grow.

This striped paper wasp may look calm sitting on a shrub, but don't let appearances fool you. If they decide your porch, deck, playset, or front door is the perfect place to build a nest, they can become defensive when disturbed.

The best time to deal with a small nest is before it turns into a much bigger problem later this summer. If you're noticing increased wasp activity around your home or business, give us a call.
