If you have this type of lint trap, you really need to look UNDER it once in a while. The pile shown in the last picture is what I found under the lint screen in a rental I'm cleaning, and it can definitely make your dryer have to work harder to dry your clothes.
Also: if you use dryer sheets, wash that lint screen once in a while. The softener that melts to soften your clothes also clogs these screens so thoroughly that I've actually had water just sit on top of them. If water can't get through, neither can air get through efficiently.

If your dryer has the lint screen inside the dryer, this brush is a necessity. I've found earrings, coins, hair ties and even a AAA battery under the lint screen.

This is soot, likely from heavy, frequent use of candles or incense. If you like burning candles or incense remember, if it's leaving a residue like this on your windows, you have to wonder what it's doing to you, your kids and your pets. Moderation, always.

Best cleaning tools. Scrub stick for under the rim of the toilet. Dobie pads are safe and effective for teflon. They're also safe to use with soft scrub on stainless steel and on fiberglass showers, tubs and sinks .
